Un affascinante viaggio nella vita e nell’arte di Paola Giordano, artista “sostenibile” che con le sue opere denuncia i meccanismi sociali delle metropoli del terzo millennio, in cui sia l’uomo sia la donna hanno perduto loro stessi, vivendo la crisi d’identità più profonda dall’origine della Creazione - o dal Bing Bang se si vuole - fino ai giorni nostri.
Il libro nasce da un episodio improbabile. L’autore Marco Eugenio Di Giandomenico, Paola e il marito Toni, tutti e tre invitati a una cena di gala, rimangono bloccati nell’ascensore di un grattacielo a CityLife a Milano a causa di un blackout elettrico nel quartiere. Di lì, nelle more del ripristino della normalità, nel buio del palazzo, intrattengono per più di due ore un fitto dialogo dove l’artista si racconta, ed è l’occasione per confrontarsi su temi esistenziali ed esperienze di vita.
Le opere della Giordano, nel loro approccio surrealistico, sono oggetto di lucida analisi, realizzandosi un risultato interpretativo interessante e originale, che investiga l’evoluzione delle espressioni creative in linea con fatti di vita di straordinaria ordinarietà.

A fascinating journey into the life and art of Paola Giordano, a "sustainable" artist who, with her works, denounces the social dynamics of the metropolis of the third millennium, in which both men and women have lost themselves, experiencing the most profound identity crisis since the origin of Creation - or since the Bing Bang if you will - to the present day.
The book originates from an unlikely episode. The author Marco Eugenio Di Giandomenico, Paola and her husband Toni, invited to a gala dinner, get stuck in the elevator of a skyscraper at CityLife in Milan because of an electric blackout in the neighbourhood. Thereafter, during the time lap before getting back to normality, in the darkness of the building, they entertain a dense dialogue which lasts more than two hours, where the artist talks about herself; it becomes an opportunity to discuss existential themes and life experiences.
The works of Paola Giordano, in their surrealistic approach, are the object of a mindful scrutiny, resulting in an interesting and original interpretative production, where she investigates the evolution of her creative expressions in line with facts of life of extraordinary ordinariness.
